well, as ive said twice now... we recently added the "social pages" for people to have casual talks about things that interest them or anything really, and it has had some decent activity, but i want to get them roaring =o, and beat out the support forum =x...
so for the next week or two *based off intrest*, anyone who gets really involved in that area, can earn a special medal, or award for being "sociable." that basicly means they get one of those fancy things next to their name like me :3 so give it a go...
in addition soon i will be having a Mini event =o, so keep your eyes open, it might be one of many depending on intrest, more details soon! :3

US, January 5, 2009 - We all know that the Wii can handle emulation. After all, the entire Virtual Console is built out of emulators for a variety of consoles, such as the NES and Genesis. But early computers are not well represented on the Virtual Console -- at least, not in America. (The Commodore 64 is on the VC in Europe and the MSX is available in Japan.) Yohanes Nugroho is looking to remedy that. On his website tinyhack, Nugroho reveals his homemade Apple IIe emulator for the Wii.
The Apple IIe emulator is still early, but functional. Nugroho has a handful of screens on his site, including shots from Epyx's Winter Games in all of its monochrome glory. The emulator is available for download from the site. The Apple IIe, a regular feature in school libraries or computer labs in the mid-eighties, is a great machine with a lot of great games. It would make a fun addition to the Virtual Console line-up for both its legacy and entertainment value.

 First DVD Backup-playing modchip for d2nothing announced by d2pro team - 2009-01-01
Since the appearance of the so-called 'd2nothing' drives in the market over the last month-or-so, a number of concerned installers have emailed us to ask about a modding solution for when this drive becomes commonplace. At this point, we would simply like to confirm that we already have DVD Backups booting on d2nothing drives using a new solution that we have been developing for some time. We will make new announcements about this exciting solution soon!

as for updates outside of that
few new forums, "recommended faqs" "other faqs" and "homebrew/hack issues"
these are to cut down on spam, and useless same questions, the difference between the 2 faq's are simply that, recommended are guides that have a track record of helping people, and would be the first place most people would be sent, the other section has a lot of info and is still very good, to get in the Rec section is just make a great guide, and wait for a move or send it to a mod
as i said Social pages were added, for a bit more fun as this site is more than just support.
another quick thing anyone misusing the new forums, will be infracted and informed, and ongoing will result in Reading room to a ban... but remember, have fun, and use the search button!

i know, how everyone feels, shesh another news post by admiral vic, but i like to keep people informed =P, but seriously

there's a few very diverse, their for casual talk, because as much as some people think this is a forum, that does have casual talking over just support =o
i hope these forums get some good use, and please note dont ask for support there, its ment for casual talking or opinions.
oh, and the front page will be fixed shortly, no worries :3
